HISTORY
Yizhong” is located in the north district of Taichung City, in the neighborhood the important traffic routes are Sanmin Road, Wuquan Road, Shuangshi Road, and Chongde Road, etc. The local businesses include: restaurants, retails, and markets. The space combines culture, education, performing arts, health, and characteristic building, etc. Most consumers are high school students, followed by progressive tutoring institute students.
Yizhong Shopping District has Taichung Mayor’s Residential, Wenying Hall, National Taichung University of Science & Technology and Taichung Municipal First Senior High School (TCFSH). With the tutoring institutes and gymnasiums in the neighborhood, the local youngsters in metropolitan Taichung can showcase their creativity in health, fashion, arts and culture. Not only shopping for their favorite products, but also getting spiritual satisfaction from local arts and cultural activities.
On the other hand, the Xin Bei Li Community Development Association, has been working hard to implement the overall construction of the community for two years. In 1994, it established a Yizhong Shopping District Management Committee to organize small-scale operations in succession. It is evident that the communities and stores in the business district are dedicated to the operation. In order to enable the business district to change the impression of the former vendors, it is more orderly and subject to the planning of the business district regulations, and then spread the hip-hop culture to the localities through the media.
